Chances of getting into New York University?

my brother was accepted into NYU and we didnt think that he would get in either. he got a 29 on the act (he didnt take the sat), and he applied out of state (midwest). although he was in the top 11% of his class of 500, it was still a long shot for him. he was also in national honors society, president of student council, and very involved in the drama department at our highschool. i think you should give it a shot, you never know! and although there is a fee to apply, it is nice to have options. plus, youll always be wondering if you could have gotten in. im going to be a senior, and im looking at about 4 schools that are going to be hard to get into. the worst that happens is they say no. nyu is a school with many opportunities. my brother has met everyone from lauren conrad, to kathy griffin, to bethenny frankel. he is even staying this summer for an internship with the BRAVO tv station, and he has already spent an entire day with the housewives of new york! so i say give it a shot. if you dont, youll always be wondering "what if." good luck!
