If I sign off of jobseekers then finish a six week contract for work, will I be eligible to claim right away?

Situation is this I want to do this expensive p/t course from September, as it is p/t i will be eligible for a discount on the course if i am on jobseekers. I have the possibility of six weeks work from early july to 12th August. If the job ends on 12th and I get paid on 19th August- (will get P45 or whatever), will i be able to get the discount on this course/able to sign back on from 12th August? thye enrollment is from mid August to September I think? Do you have to be on jobseekers for awhile before being eligible for the discounts? I don't see this job as in anyway being good for my future career, just getting the way of voluntary experience I could get in the time while there, but want to work anyway and of course the money.
