Daughters roommate moved out and left daughter without paying her part on rent/electricity/water?

they moved in and it was a fight from the start every time a bill came due. The roommate never had the money. This was always what she would say and then go spend spend spend on clothes and out to dinner. My loan went to a collection agency by mistake because my deferment requests did not go though and the balance went from 2500 to 3400, then I brought it current right away be sending the loan holder an enrollment history, but is this legal that a collection agency can charge 900 to collect a loan that they made no attempt to even collect. When i asked for a copy of my loan agreement, the guy at the collection agency told me this was priviledge information and I could not see it. Does this sound fishy?

Being an Asian-American, specifically Vietnamese, comes along with the term model minority which carries a baggage of other expectations. We are supposed to be smart, have the most resources, and get everything easy educational wise. Dual enrollment generally means taking a class at the community college. My senior year I took 5 classes at the community college. It's not a big deal. I didn't have to change my high school schedule, I just took evening classes. In my opinion, it's better to take dual enrollment than AP classes.

Can my employer do this to me?

So, I was full time at my job meaning and I had health insurance through them. For full time employees the insurance only costs $20/month. However, I went back to school and only worked two days a week which made me ineligible for health insurance, which is fine because I was able to get it through my parents. This summer, I went up to working 25 hours a week which made eligible for insurance now, and so they are charging me more since I am still part time so it costs me $200/month. I still have health insurance through my parents, but my job said that I cannot drop my insurance because I didn't opt out of during the enrollment period when I was still working full time. I don't want or need to pay for this insurance, and I'm really upset that they won't let me stop it. My only option is to go back down to two days a week because they do not have any full time positions currently available and I will be returning to school in the fall. Should I do the IB program or dual enrollment?

IB is a complete joke. People in that program are arrogant and stuck up, and mostly are social outcasts. I would highly recommend staying at your high school and developing social skills with your group of classmates. Don't get me wrong education is very important and you will have a ton of time to learn everything in college and after college. But one of the most important things a person can have is social skills. Without social skills and being able to deal with people you will get nowhere in life. I would suggest that you stay away from the IB program. I did the pre-IB program for two years and I was surrounded by a bunch of social misfits who thought that they were the smartest people alive. I ditched that program and did AP and I entered college with 24 credits. Alot of IB students did not get credit for their work at my university. The kids at the AP program were alot more normal and socially skilled. IB students are the most arrogant pieces of crap you will find in this world. Stay normal, get smart in college, pick up social skills and you will succeed.

Unfair treatment in my cna school?

i studied hard to pass my cna class and when we were doing clinical training at a nursing home on the third day i commited a mistake by assisting a resident to the bathroom who was able to walk, i did not know that we were not allowed to do this so when the patients alarm sounded my teacher came to the room and asked what was going on. she said i wasnt supposed to do that. even then the resident was fine. after that i was told that i cant come to class. in short i was taken out and when i begged to be reconsider they told me that i cant be reconsidered. i felt so disappointed caused every single day for 2 months i studied so hard. my grades were above average. i spent a big sum for the enrollment 1500 bucks. is there anybody who i can go to who can help me at least get my money back.

It seems from my perspective in the UK that Obama seems to be doing more internationally than he is at home, and yet there is so much that needs doing in the USA. Should I be making my daughter get back on her horse after falling off?

My daughter is 10y/o. She has loved and been taking english lessons for the past four years on a 13hand pony. We bought land and moved to a new area and joined the 4-H drill team in our new area. She was having a great time on one of the drill team members horses but then that member needed to sell her horse for some extra money. I decided to let my daughter ride my 6 y/o gilding, who has been used for hunter/jumper. I have had him since he was three weeks old, due to the death of his mother, and I trained him myself using Clinton Andersons teachings....so I really know this horse. He is not a mean or hateful horse...he is a good horse, but young. The second week she fell off - at a canter. I did not see the fall but she hurt her arm pretty bad and it took about a week before she could lift it again. She refused to get back on him and has still not done so 10 weeks later. She has howerver been riding my mare at drill team who is 15y/o and is a been there done that horse. She says she is still nervous and does not want to go to drill team because she does not want to canter. She will get on and trot but only when I tell her she is part of a team and we have to do our part by practicing...I go out with her and she will get on and W/T only. She wont go on a trail ride with me or even out of the arena. She is so nervous and I am not sure what to do. You can see she wants to be around the horses, but does not want to get on. I am making her get on. Am I wrong for this? I told her when she can work her way up to cantering again with out freaking out I would let her make the decision to stay in drill team or to drop out. I told her I did not want her making this decision out of fear because she would run away from what she feared for the rest of her life. I really had good intentions with this, but as any mom I am really thinking I am hurting her rather than helping her. Please, please help me do what is right for her. I do not have all the answers and I really need some help. I do not want to end up killing what she loves the most, but I also do not want her to be so freaked out and crying herself to sleep after every drill team practice! This is killing me!!!!! I do have the option of driving back to her trainer once a week for lessons on the 13hand poney she uses to ride. It is only about 45 min. away. I did not know if that would be taking her back instead of going forward. I am not a trainer, and really just dont know how to handle this situation so please dont think I am being stupid by not having the right answers...I am just a mom who has not idea what the best way to deal with this situation would be..

Help With Disrespectful Horse?

My horse 8, half Arab half qh gilding, is disrespectful to me when I am riding and especially when other people are riding him. When I'm just leading him, he is very respectful and does anything I ask. When I have other people ride him, he just won't move for them so I lead him. When I lead him with other people on his back, he pins his ears and tries to go faster than I want him to. He jumps up and paws the ground. He also tries to nip and every time they ride him he never pays attention to me. He is always looking someplace else. It's almost the same as when I'm riding him. I can get him to move but when I do, he swishes his tail , jumps forward and pins his ears. I try to correct him but he doesn't listen. It gets frustrating! And like I said before I have no problem with him on the ground. He is calm, quiet, and pays attention to me. He never stares off into the distance. I lounge him just fine to. The trainer I had up here before said it all fit properly and the vet said he was perfectly healthy. I know it's not his problem, it's me not knowing how to treat a horse while on his back. He thinks he can get away with it all. Also please don't suggest that I get a trainer up here because money is tight these days you know. Any way thanks!

3 years behind.. got divorced ( had to pay to keep the house) had to filed bankruptcy,got hurt at work, on disability now. my son and his wife and 5 kids lived with me for the last 4 years and was suppose to pay the taxes for one of the years.. never did and so i had them leave and they have left me with a large elect. bill( which they were suppose to pay) and a large water bill( witch they were suppose to pay) that was the only bills I asked them to pay for living here plus food....they left and didn't let me know they were month behind... they got the mail. and now after paying all this money to keep the house( paid the x to keep it no I'm so behind I don't know what to do. been here 22 years, raised all my kids here. have to much invested to just leave it all.just need a break, till i get on my feet again. have not been to work since nov. 2010 and just had surgery march 2 2011. Need help, my best friend is having a mental breakdown.?

2 days ago me and all of my closest friends graduated middle school. the biggest score we can achieve is 40.00 and i got 34.35. And i think all of us were pretty happy and excited about our final results except my best friend named carrie. she only scored 29.30. i knew she worked and studied as hard as i did because we studied together in 3 whole months and she didn't even cheat THAT much. she graduated though, but with that score she can't even get in to any decent public schools. i called to see if she was okay but she's not. she said she's been crying all morning and she said she can't even get to any good school and she is considering home-school. well, home schooling is not a better choice in my country cause the tutors here aren't promising. i don't want this to crumble her future so i said maybe she can get into a private school that requires a test for enrollment so that she wouldn't have to worry about those final results again. what really sucks it i think all of those craziness has changed her to a totally different person. my 4 other best friends and i were celebrating our graduation by having a private dinner. we invited carrie along and she came alright, but she kept quiet most of the night and she's not going insane like she used to. when it comes to private occasions like this, she was usually the one helping around making dinner and making fun of me when i messed up. now she just sat on the couch looking glum. she never called me until now, even i feel when i talk to her she's not really listening. we were the craziest kids in eighth grade and we laugh and make fuss a lot. i really missed the old her. i'm afraid i might lose her. i've been friends with her since i was in preschool, way longer than my relationship with my other 4. two years ago, we both planned once we graduated, we'll go to the same high school. that high school we're after demands high results. i can get in all right, but it feels pointless getting in that school without her. we've been in the same class in our whole middle school life. all of my friends tried to cheer her up and talk her into taking a private school exam so that she can enroll to an even better school. and i'm asking you guys about what i can do to stop her from being depressed to suicidal. thanks before.
